A solid wood floor will enhance the appearance of any interior and endure for generations if carefully maintained. With a solid wood floor each board is precision machined from a single piece of timber and typically finished with a strong tongue and groove joint on all sides.
Whether you want traditional, modern, distressed, parquet or even chevrons, Woodpecker can provide your perfect floor.
Woodpecker is a family-run business with a heritage in the timber industry that goes back three generations. The company was founded by Bruce Ker in 1975. He was a skilled craftsman who loved teaching people how to work with wood. Under his son Nelson, the company has continued to grow, and is now successful across the world.
The environment is something Woodpecker take very seriously and they only use wood with FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) or PEFC (Program for the Endorsement of Forests) certification. By choosing their timber responsibly, Woodpecker flooring isn’t just beautiful – you can be sure that it’s ethically sourced.
Selecting, stacking, drying, kilning, cutting and finishing – at every stage of the Woodpecker process they aim to produce the toughest flooring, which they back up with a 25 year warranty. The result is flooring that will bring a warm and radiant atmosphere your home now, and for many years to come.
Woodpecker’s solid wood flooring is made from hardwoods such as oak and walnut. The trees used are carefully selected and harvested from sustainably managed forests in Europe or the Americas. Each board is engineered from a single piece of timber that has been carefully chosen, graded and then machined with a tongue and groove on all sides for simple, accurate fitting.
The wood’s natural texture is enhanced through a range of different finishes, each of which brings out an exciting aspect of its character. Inspiring grain patterns, mellow hues, rustic textures, elegance, strength… Woodpecker’s solid hardwood floor ranges offer all this and more.
