Wemyss

Wemyss has been established for over 70 years and can trace its roots back even further to the weaving mill established by the brothers George and James Johnston in East Wemyss, Scotland as far back as the 1860s.

Wemyss is now located in Dundee and their designers work closely with a carefully selected group of the best weavers and printers across the world, drawing inspiration from archive documents, the natural world and topical themes to continually create beautiful new collections. With an established range of plains and semi-plain fabrics plus original printed designs, lustrous sheers and decorative weaves we think you will find the perfect combination to help inspire you.

Some of Wemyss’ collections feature Aquaclean technology, a treatment that allows you to clean stains with water only. Their BYBLOS Aquaclean range would be the perfect choice for upholstery and comes in a wide variety of colours from sophisticated neutrals to bright and bold statement colours.

These fabrics really need to be seen in real life to appreciate the wonderful colours and textures available, with many intricate weaves in numerous colourways. We keep a selection of Wemyss sample books in stock, but do let us know if there is a specific collection you would like to see.
