Founded in 1858 by a Somerset family of wool merchants, their 100% wool mattresses were of such high quality that they soon became known as mattresses you could truly rely on – and thus their current name ‘Relyon’ was created.
Today Relyon still has a reputation for hand crafting wonderfully comfortable mattresses made from natural materials. Only the finest natural fillings are used, combined with perfectly engineered calico covered pocket springs and a host of bespoke tailoring options.
Quality without compromise is at the heart of everything Relyon does, which is why they were the first bed company to be awarded a highly prestigious Manufacturing Guild Mark by the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers.
It is interesting to note that Relyon were early pioneers of recyclable mattresses; their pure wool mattresses were often re-purposed by their owners who took advantage of the resilient wool interiors for insulation or compost.
Today their sustainable and environmental credentials remain as strong as ever. All timber is FSC certified and all energy used is from 100% green tariffs. On top of this their products are distributed by the most fuel efficient and aerodynamically sound distribution fleet available.

There are an array of divan base options, here at TR Hayes we display their Firm Edge Sprung divan base for excellent support and comfort. There is also the option of an Ottoman storage base.
You can choose from a wide selection of fabrics for the base upholstery and further coordinate it with a Relyon headboard.
