There are some lovely fabric and wallpaper collections that have recently arrived on the scene. We have picked out some favourites that reflect the current trend for plants and nature, with shades of green being very much the colour of the moment (despite mauve being lauded as the colour of the year this year).
Sanderson have created some very painterly designs that are a real breath of fresh air – in particular their Potting Room collection celebrates the British love of the kitchen garden and allotment with a charming, hand-crafted feel.
Inspired by country farmer’s markets, natural wildflower gardens and the humble garden shed, each design has been hand-drawn or created with hand-printed techniques and is available in a delightful range of colours. Sanderson have created a collection of co-ordinating fabrics and wallpapers, with the fabrics also including embroidery details that give an extra textural dimension, making this one to look out for.

The latest collection from Harlequin is a real show-stopper – Zapara is full of bright jewel-like colours and bold prints and embodies the beauty of the Amazon with its striking printed fabrics, weaves and a voile.
The collection’s names are taken from tropical places and plants, and an air of the exotic runs through it. Zapra is a carefully considered range that exudes style and glamour. Bold, jungle-inspired prints are very much on trend at the moment, and this collection hits the mark, but with some of its more subtle colour variations you can achieve the look without it feeling 'over the top'.

Yet again, Scion has created a joyous new collection of fabrics and wallpaper with Nuevo. This is a bold, eclectic range of Mexican and South American influenced designs where interlocking geometrics and flat-colour motifs are teamed alongside textured, chunky weaves. Nuevo is a colourful and fun range blending urban style with an ethnic twist.
The bold designs in fabulous colourways coordinate well, and can be teamed with stronger colours that really emphasise the patterns - Baja fabric looks striking with moody blue walls, and the fun cactus-inspired print Opunita is great against a strong green.
